Police Radar Gun vs "Electronic Dog"

A delegate to the Shanghai Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference suggested a new way of regulating the sale of radar detectors that help drivers avoid speeding tickets.

Radar detectors, the so called "electronic dogs" set off a warning when they detect police radar guns, and allow drivers to slow down before they are ticketed for speeding.

These devices are not against the law on the Chinese mainland, but in many other countries and parts of the world they are not used by regular people.
