‘Smart’ backpack will decrease the carry weight

As known, the most important issues in military forced marches, is carrying heavy loads behind the shoulders like tactical and military gear, weapon accessories.
A scientist from the University of Pennsylvania fundamentally changed the design of backpacks. So, now army troops will not feel the load so much.
The thing is that during the walk human body moves up and down in an amplitude of 1-2 inches and accordingly, a person has to lift up and down the weight of a load every time a person makes a step.
The design of the new backpack is based on the principle of staying on the same level when the person walks. It is suspended on elastic ropes and every time a person makes a step, the backpack slips up and down.
And besides that this design decreases weight on 86%, and total energy economy is about 40 Wt. But the main goal of such backpack is to decrease the level of getting muscle and spinal injury.

Fish-Robot will spy upon its "congeners"

Scientists found a new way to observe fish. Now this will be done with the help of a fish-robot, so called RoboSalmon, which was invented in University of Glasgow.
From the first glance this device resembles the real fish, but much more to just being a real fish, it also has a built in surveillance camera, which allows operators to see the picture.
The distinctive feature of this novelty is that with the help of fins and tail it can easily move in the water. And exactly this feature makes it look like a real fish.
Now scientists have move chances to achieve progress in their ocean world studies.

U.S. Navy testing the LightSpeed device

U.S. Navy is testing a new and unusual device, which allows two people speak to each other on the distance of 3.7 km. This system guarantees you that no one will be able to intercept the conversation.
This device, which is called LightSpeed, was invented by the Californian Company Torrey Pines Logic as an addition to either handheld field binoculars or military binoculars, used on the ships.
LightSpeed sends unusually weak infra-red ray through the regular lenses. Vis-à-vis needs to be in the line of sight coverage and also have the same binocular. It's lenses concentrate ray and direct it into detector. This is the process how the voice is being transmitted through the coded infra red signals.
At the same time, unlike the radio communication, interception of this kind of conversation is almost impossible. Because this the opponent needs to have the same equipment and be located precisely on the ray's way. So, the chances for this to happen equal almost zero.
